Loretta coleman ministries

Loretta Coleman Ministries primary goals are to provide leadership and direction to young people.  The Ministry seeks to make a difference in the lives of young people who have no hope, who has low self-esteem and who feels like no one cares.  Another goal is to provide knowledge of programs for Senior Citizens and to assist them with whatever needs they may have.

*Over 700 Children were awarded toys and clothing during the Christmas holiday season from 1998 to 2010.

*In 2005, L.C. Ministries adopted (4) children that have Sickle Cell for Easter providing clothes and Easter Baskets for Easter.

 

*In 2005, L.C. Ministries helped a family that was in need due to severe medical problems by raising funds to help with their bills and gathered over $1000.00 in household items for the family.

*In 2006, L.C. Ministries helped a family of 4 whose mother’s leg was amputated with back to school supplies and over $300.00 in household supplies.

*In December 2006, L.C. Ministries sponsored an evening of inspiration for the homeless at the two homeless shelters downtown Columbia In addition to a hot meal, Rev. Charles Jackson, Jr. shared and inspirational message of encouragement to them and Women of Strength sang Christmas Carols.  We also provided over $500.00 in personal items for the Homeless Shelter.

In February 2007, 2008 AND 2009, L.C. Ministries sponsored a tribute to 17 African American Women in Business and Ministry; over 200 ladies were in attendance.

In May 2007, L.C. Ministries sponsored A Pre-Mothers Day Banquet Celebration honoring 10 mothers.

On August 17, 2007, L. C. Ministries sponsored A Back to School Social giving out school supplies.

November 2010, L. C. Ministries gave out turkeys to Senior Citizens and sponsored a Thanksgiving dinner for those who had nothing to eat.

July of 2011, L. C. Ministries sponsored a toiletry drive to help those in need with the basic house hold needs.

In August of 2011, L. C. Ministries sponsored a back to school giveaway for kids that otherwise would not have had school supplies to start school with.

Loretta Coleman Ministries is preparing to team up with Richland County Sheriff Department, the Solicitors Office and The City of Columbia Police Department to mentor you and to deal with anger management.

Loretta Coleman Ministries sponsored workshops to help women with low self-esteem, women who have been abuse, physical, mentally and verbally. Loretta Coleman Ministries also sponsors workshop to help women who have been victims of substances abuse.  Being a victim herself, she seeks to help those who have been in the same situation.
