At different times in our lives, we all have needed help with our prayer lives. Have you ever felt that your prayers were not important or powerful because of your past failures or weaknesses?
Please allow me to give you this encouraging example from God's Word.
Elijah,
that great man of power and prayer, was also a lot like us. James 5:17 says that Elijah was a man, subject unto the same passions that we struggle against.
That's right. Elijah was flesh and blood and he struggled with circumstances and common sense.
What did he do after the Mt. Carmel miracle when Jezebel threatened him? He
ran! This great man of prayer and power ran from this woman. Why? He was a lot like us.
There were times when he was strong in faith and there were times when he was very vulnerable to the enemy's attack. Elijah was just as human as you and me.
Now, receive the impact of these verses: Elijah was just as human, just as weak as
you, but he prayed...and God answered his prayer.
Christian friend, do not allow the enemy to destroy your prayer life. Hold on to your confidence in God. You may not think you are the most deserving child that God has, but God is not looking for deserving people, He is looking for praying people...those who want His will done upon the
earth.
Please receive this encouraging word. Keep praying, regardless of what has happened, keep praying. God will answer those prayers. -- Loretta Coleman "The Queen" www.lorettacolemanministries.org Don't Forget To Sign My Guestbook |
